Equity

How much of the pot your hand or range expects to win at showdown.

FoundationBeginnerTraining Lab Definition

Example

A flush draw may be behind right now but still has equity because future cards can complete the flush.

Why It Matters

Equity helps you separate a bad result from a bad decision. A hand can lose this time and still be a profitable continue over many repetitions.
